therapy and support for adoptees and families

Wherever you are in your process,

you are welcome here.

Adoption is complicated. As a fellow adoptee, it is my honor to walk alongside adoptees and loved ones in making sense of their own adoption story and moving toward a more integrated and connected life. What does therapy look like with an adoption-competent therapist?

A safe space to be real in your process, to ask the hard questions, to make sense of your story

An attachment-based lens that helps you understand how adoption impacts relationships…and how to move toward healing

Support in deepening a sense of identity that integrates every part of your story

Resources and tools that are specific to adoptees and families

Therapy that recognizes the complexities of adoption — culturally, politically, relationally, personally

More about Holly

I grew up as a typical, American kid in the 80’s who happened to be adopted. But as as adult, I realized more and more how much adoption has shaped who I am. I started reading books, and talking to other adoptees, and exploring my own story. And then 10 years ago, I went back to school and studied even more about adoption, attachment, and how people heal. Since then, I've worked as a therapist supporting other adoptees, adoptive families, and birth families too. I’m also a former foster mom, a former educator, and a new mom to my own little girl. I love supporting individuals, and also strengthening families.

Every adoptee has a story and a perspective, and it is always a privilege to enter that space with others, no matter where they are in their process. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about this work.
